He was born in Izmir and completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Izmir. After graduating from Ege Faculty of Medicine, he specialized in Pediatrics at the same faculty. He then completed his military service at Sarıkamış Military Hospital and his compulsory service at Erzurum Numune Hospital.
