Palliative Medicine
The purpose of palliative treatment is, firstly, to minimize, or if possible, eliminate physical and psychosocial symptoms of the patient, and secondly, to provide moral support to patients and their families.
It is known that oncology patients face some symptoms and problems. Palliative treatment aims to minimize and eliminate such complaints in the shortest period of time possible. Combined with close and reliable personal support, opportunities arise to raise the patient’s quality of life. In line with this important purpose, we provide special palliative treatment training to all our personnel who serve at the Oncology Department of Anadolu Medical Center. While carrying out the medical services of each patient which are planned by oncologists, we try to provide the best palliative treatment for the patient's personal needs. With these measures, we aim to ensure that every patient has a smooth and comfortable treatment process to the extent possible.
Anadolu Medical Center Oncology Department continues to meet European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) standards successfully.
