As one of the subspecialties of Pediatrics, this unit focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by infection agents such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites in children. In addition to diagnosis and treatment, the department provides preventive care services, including vaccination services against these infections and preventive treatments for children with immune system issues.

Assessment of febrile children
Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
COVID-19
Exanthematous diseases
Vaccination services and vaccine counseling for healthy and at-risk children
Preventive measures and treatment for infections in children with immunodeficiency
Gastrointestinal infections (gastroenteritis) with diarrhea
Treatment of infections caused by hospital-acquired resistant microorganisms
Management of epidemic diseases
Congenital infections
Evaluation of children with frequent infections
