Anger is a pre-conflict state. It begins with tension, an increase in adrenaline that boosts energy, rapid breathing, accelerated heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, and the body and mind are ready for a "fight or flight" response. Understanding the reasons behind the anger is as important as finding a solution. Common causes of this tension include "frustration" and "restriction." Physiological needs such as thirst and hunger not being met, as well as unfavorable conditions, can also trigger anger. If we consider anger as a mental and emotional disorder, obsessive individuals tend to be more prone to anger. They cannot tolerate disruptions to the order that meets their expectations caused by external factors. Some individuals with certain personality traits may struggle to control their anger; for example, those with antisocial personality traits. To discuss the impact of genetic characteristics on anger control, this must be proven. On the other hand, anger control problems can also be linked to upbringing and the way individuals are raised.
While it may not be possible to completely eliminate anger, it is very important to control behaviors resulting from this emotion. It is beneficial to ask and think about, "What made me angry? What was it that upset me?" Families have a significant role in controlling anger. Among the basic education that should be provided to children is anger control.
Everyone gets angry; experiencing anger is not an abnormal situation. It is also an emotion that does not disappear unless shared. In fact, angry individuals initially feel a pleasant and enjoyable sensation. Negativity arises from the inability to control and the persistence of anger. It is seen as much more appropriate to not cover up anger and to talk about it.
