Our immune system protects us from diseases. Your defense system needs to be prepared for any issue at any moment and must be capable of defending itself strongly. So, what can we do to keep the immune system strong and always ready? We can start with proper nutrition, staying away from stress, and regularly performing age-appropriate exercises. What else should we do?

How to Strengthen the Immune System?

  • Regularly consume meat, fish, dairy products, grains, vegetables, and fruits.
  • Pay attention to getting regular and sufficient sleep.
  • Absolutely do not smoke.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Be careful to maintain your ideal weight.
  • Try to stay away from stress.

Eat Regularly and Balanced

The first condition for keeping the immune system healthy is to eat regularly and in a balanced manner. Some foods carry a high risk of bacterial contamination. Not only individuals with weak immune systems, but everyone should pay attention to the following criteria in their diet:

  • Avoid raw or unpeeled vegetables and fruits.
  • Do not consume raw or runny eggs.
  • Ensure that all foods made with eggs are cooked sufficiently.
  • Do not consume unpasteurized fruit and vegetable juices.

Learn to Cope with Stress

Research shows that individuals under stress are always more prone to infections. While the relationship between psychological state and infection is not yet fully understood, prolonged depression and stress are believed to lead to malnutrition, which can cause infectious diseases to arise.

Exercise helps the immune system fight infections while also preventing diseases such as heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer.
