Should Laser Hair Removal Be Done During Adolescence?
Hair transplantation began about 30 years ago with methods such as scalp stretching, scalp expansion, and flap techniques. Later, hair transplant surgeries gained significant momentum with the FUT method. The FUE method, considered a revolution in hair transplantation, continues to be used as the most advanced technique worldwide.
The primary goal of hair transplantation is to obtain hair follicles from the most suitable area of the body in terms of hair density and quality, and transplant them to the areas that are thinning or have opened up.
The hair quality and density are highest in the nape area, which is typically used as the donor area. The procedure is quite comfortable, and it can be performed in just 4-6 hours without any pain, discomfort, bleeding, or swelling.
In hair transplantation, only the person's own hair can be transplanted. Even the hair of identical twins does not match. Hair transplantation can be compared to organ transplantation, as live cells from the nape area are taken and transplanted to the required area.
