Chemical Peeling for Spot Treatment Chemical peeling is a procedure in which controlled damage is created at varying depths of the skin by using one or more agents, and during the healing process of this controlled damage, new tissue formation is stimulated to treat various conditions and problems with skin regeneration. Chemical peeling can be applied in situations where the skin’s surface needs to be more vibrant and healthy, such as in cases of sun-induced spots, hormonal pigmentation that occurs after pregnancy, photo-damage, and acne scars.
Cosmelan-Dermamelan is an enzymatic peeling kit that starts with the application of a mask (spot mask) made from a balanced mixture of active ingredients such as azelaic acid, kojic acid, ascorbic acid, and phytic acid, combined with auxiliary substances. This is followed by the use of a continuation cream and reconstructive agents containing the same active ingredients.
The powerful spot-lightening agents in Cosmelan-Dermamelan enzymatic peeling also suppress the production of the molecules responsible for skin pigmentation by reducing and blocking their creation through enzyme inhibition, which gives the peeling its name. The acids and vitamins contained in the treatment also have strong antioxidant and collagen-producing properties, which help lighten the tissue’s color. Its main effect is not through peeling but through enzyme blockage within the tissue. At the start of treatment, light peeling on the skin's surface reduces the density of pigmented cells on the skin’s surface.
